Seated Nude

Amedeo Modigliani is a further Italian artist and born in 1844. He was somewhat of a hell-raiser allegedly as famous for his wild ways as he was for his art. 

He opened a gallery of his nudes in 1917 however it was shut-down on its opening night and could only reopen after the scandalous nudes had been removed from the window.

This is a rightly famous piece and is one that looks particularly good in a black frame. The original is most likely in a private collection.
