Head of the Buddha

This Buddha is inspired by a statue in the V&A Museum in London.

The Buddha is believed to date from 400-500 AD and comes from the ancient Gandharan culture in Afghanistan.

It is such a calming and relaxing statue that it seemed obvious to try and capture the same in this painting. It looks really sharp in a black frame and up on the wall.
